| well a quick update on my life.. I have been good after radiotherapy and back into my normal routine at home with the kids. One minor tongue and taste disconfort that might be related to the treatment but thats it. I see my doc in a month with more tests and results probably. Until then, all seems well.
Kassy is growing up fast, saying many words together but still not potty trained. My fault partly, it takes a lot of discipline and continous asking to make sure she goes on the toilet. Kédric moves everywhere and starts to climb up stairs and furniture. He is crazy! He too has started understanding and saying words, very basic for now but still. JS is doing well at his job, finding it less interesting at times but still liking the hours and paying the bills. He has shaved his head and now has very short hair as u can imagine how radical he likes to be.
Our basement floors are done, we are working on the borders now and starting to think about the last painting job left of the house, the spare room downstairs and hallway. When those are done, we can say that our renos are over for the biggest part. If u own a house u know that it is NEVER really over cuz there is always more to do. We started putting our summer stuff away outside altho this week was quite warm. I love the fall, my fave part of the year. Well, apart from the racking :)

| Health: I am home from the hospital after two days of being locked in a room for radiotherapy (for those that dont know I had thyroid cancer). I felt like I had some contageous desease as NO one was allowed in my room for 24 hours. I got out on thrusday and couldnt go home cuz JS was there with the kids so I stayed at my sister in law's place for the night, finally enjoying a little freedom :) The treatment went well, I cannot come in contact with my kids until at least next tuesday just to be sure I dont make them radioactive! Actually, its more a question of safety because they are so young, the neck to neck contact needs to be kept to a minimum. Same for JS, so no sleeping in the same bed! anniversary: JS and I celebrated 4 years of marrige this thrusday while I was in the hospital and altho we did not get to see each other that day, we did enjoy an amazing Afghan restaurant before. JS amazed me with a surprise gift of Channel number 5, an expensive perfume I never dreamed of owning one day. Wow, he stills makes my heart skip a beat :) Renos: We did finish our bathroom on time for the wedding and we are down to the little details. One room left to paint and a few details to fix in the bathroom but all is functionnal! So nice to have a basement again :) JS and friends worked really hard and we are very thankful. that's the news for now. We had an amzing time with the fam before, druing and after Coco's wedding and are glad of the many memories created. Also, I want to thank you all for your prayers and help in what we are going thru :) | | |
| we are working on our bathroom again! Which means Im in paint all day. I hope we can finish it before Coco's wedding but Im not putting my hopes up. I have a second coat of paint to do today and then tomorrow we start the ceramic floor, which is the hardest part. Im excited to see what it will all look like once its done! | | |
| We are back from vacation and I finally have a min to write on here.. Well, let's start with news from the hospital. My doc called this week to say that my blood tests showed i had a lot of thyrogen in me (im not supposed to have any cuz they took the gland out) and so I will get radio-therapy to make sure nothing is left from my thyroid or the cancer. I do not know all the details that this implies but I do know i will have to be hospitalised and away from my kids for a while because my immune system will be down and that we cant try for another kid for a while. I will update u when I get more news. This should happen in august sometime, they are trying to fit me in as soon as possible. on the bright side, our week in Fl was great, even tho both kids and parents were sick... i put some pics on facebook, 45 out of the 200 something we took! we had a few days off at home when we came back but they just flew by. I got to see Bek and her son a little, which was really nice. Other then that we had some work to do on the out side of the house, Zaza's party and some running around that filled up our days. I still cant believe how fast summer goes by... Why doesnt winter feel like this? I am going to try to do some painting next week but I dont think the bathroom downstairs will be ready for Coco's wedding.. One step at a time cuz hospital time has been a priority lately. The kids are on antibiotics and Kedric is on ventolin (for asthma) but we are all smiles cuz we are thankful for family around us and all your prayers. | | |
| a little more then a week till vacation time! JS says I talk about it every minute of every day.. oh well! The other day I checked out my old website: www.geocities.com/missy4ever and it was still up and running.. It was a painful walk down memory lane, especially when I look at how tiny I was back then.. i guess having 2 kids didnt help my situation. But Ive given myself a month to lose 10 punds, lets see if I can do it! Summer is usually the best time to be active so I have no excuse.. On a other note, our comp is acting up so I quickly decided to make some backups of our pics. I hate technology for making us so dependent on it.. We already lost a whole year worth of pics, mostly Kedric's first year and that anoyed me so Im not gonna live that again! Good thing facebook still has a lot of my pics :) | | |
